Darcel Clark was inaugurated Saturday as Bronx district attorney, the first woman to hold the post — though the distinction has been overshadowed by a controversial power swap that paved her way to the office.

Clark was sworn in at Lehman College in a ceremony attended by Mayor de Blasio, Sen. Chuck Schumer and Timothy Cardinal Dolan.

In her remarks, Clark called for improving the relationship between cops and the community. She also embraced the opportunity to be a role model.

“I can say to each little girl, you know, if you work really hard, you can go to law school, you can become district attorney assistant, you can become a judge, and then you can become the district attorney of The Bronx,” she said.

Bronx Dems handpicked Clark on the November ballot after Robert Johnson stepped down for a state Supreme Court seat after he won the Sept. 10 primary.
