Former Mayor David Dinkins has settled a hit-and-run lawsuit filed against him by a bicycle deliveryman.
Cyclist Rodrigo Garcia claimed that Dinkins, 89, slammed into him with his Cadillac on York Avenue in Manhattan last year, then drove off, leaving him lying in the street.
Dinkins later told cops that the cyclist hit him.
Garcia had requested a default judgment from the court after the retired pol rescheduled his deposition three times. The request was still pending when the two sides reached a confidential deal this week.
“The case has been settled to the satisfaction of all parties,” said Joel Turney, the lawyer for Garcia.
Dinkins’ lawyer declined to comment.
