Mayor de Blasio admitted Monday that the radios carried by EMTs are not reliable underground and promised to fix them “as quickly as possible.”
“That problem is about 70 percent resolved,” the mayor said during an unrelated event in East Harlem.
De Blasio was responding to complaints from EMTs that it was nearly impossible for them to communicate by radio during a terror drill Sunday in the subway.
