Wednesday night, de Blasio received a letter from the city’s Department of Investigation with five recommendations, including sidelining one of Ponte’s top aides over the alleged spying.
De Blasio didn’t answer questions at a press event Monday.

“Circling the wagons may be a good strategy in a Hollywood western, but it’s a terrible way to govern,’’ said Councilmember Rory Lancman (D-Queens).
