WASHINGTON — Mayor de Blasio huddled with Washington power brokers and New York’s congressional delegation Tuesday as he sought billions of dollars to help finance his ambitious 10-year, 200,000-unit, affordable-housing plan.
“Given that the affordable-housing plan was just announced [Monday], that was a particular topic of concern. People wanted to know how they can help,” de Blasio said.
The mayor met with House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, New York Sens. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand, and House members in separate conferences.
