Mayor Bill de Blasio called on presidential contenders of both parties Thursday to shrink income inequality — including his mentor and ally, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
“If she becomes a candidate, I absolutely believe she needs to address this issue,” the mayor said.
His challenge came after he huddled with progressive leaders to hash out a plan to pressure pols to narrow the income gap.
