A new Quinnipiac University poll shows Mayor de Blasio’s approval rating sinking to 45 percent — lower than either Police Commissioner Bill Bratton or Comptroller Scott Stringer. Two months ago, the mayor had a lofty 53 percent rating in the same survey.
His disapproval rating nearly tripled from 13 to 34 percent.
The poll said most voters aren’t buying Blasio’s excuses for calling cops following the arrest of a minister pal and for allowing his security detail to ignore traffic rules.
The mayor brushed off the results Tuesday, saying it was too early to draw conclusions about his administration.
