De Niro nanny deal
You settlin’ with me?
Robert De Niro and his wife have settled a lawsuit filed by a former nanny who claimed that they shortchanged her back in 2009.
Alexis Barry filed suit in Manhattan Supreme Court, charging the actor and his wife, Grace Hightower, with stiffing her out of $40,000 in overtime and holiday pay during the nine-month period when she worked for them in their Central Park West home.
Barry listed her rates to tend to the couple’s son, Elliot, who was 8 years old at the time, as $31 an hour or $46 an hour with overtime.
According to court papers, the sides settled their differences for $30,000.
