A dead humpback whale washed ashore a nude beach in New Jersey after drifting for days off the coast, according to a report.

The 25-foot mammal was spotted out at sea over the weekend by whale watchers before it was stranded Tuesday night on Gunnison Beach, NJ.com reported.

Experts performed tests on the massive carcass to determine the cause of death, according to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center.

“It may take several weeks if they have to do lab testing or they could have found out how it died today,” technician Jay Pagel told the news outlet.

The humpback whale was buried in the sand about 500 yards south of the clothing-optional beach, the Asbury Park Press reported.
