The jury didn’t buy it.

Walter Portes — the Brooklyn drug trafficker who claimed he killed his kingpin boss because it was his only escape from the drug game — was found guilty of murder in Brooklyn Supreme Court yesterday.

Portes, 28, was convicted of the 2008 murder of Edward Tse, 33, in the victim’s Bushwick home.

“Walter Portes and Edward Tse were business partners — and when you leave their business, there is no gold watch or retirement parties,” defense attorney Kleon Andreadis said at the beginning of the trial.

“Walter wanted out.”

Portes claimed he shot and killed Tse in a struggle after Portes said he was leaving the criminal life.

Before being led out of the courtroom, Portes blew a kiss to his girlfriend, who had started crying as she heard the verdict.
