A rigger who worked on a massive construction crane in Manhattan that collapsed and killed seven people has been stripped of his licenses.
An administrative judge said William Rapetti’s sloppy work was to blame for the 2008 collapse, despite his acquittal on all criminal charges last year.
“Mr. Rapetti took shortcuts while erecting the tower crane by using damaged equipment,” Buildings Commissioner Robert LiMandri said yesterday.
