The death of a 9-month-old baby in the Bronx on Valentine’s Day was ruled a homicide this week after fentanyl was discovered in the tot’s system, police said Thursday. 

Dante Steer-Cooman was found unconscious and unresponsive inside his home on Matilda Avenue near East 140th Street in Wakefield around 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14, cops said. 

The infant, who had no obvious signs of trauma, was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. 

The city medical examiner’s office determined Wednesday that Dante died of acute fentanyl intoxication, and the death was ruled a homicide, authorities said.

No arrests had been made by Thursday morning, according to police, who did not immediately have additional details on the circumstances.
