The death of an appeals court judge whose body washed up along the Hudson River earlier this year has been ruled a suicide, officials said Wednesday.

Judge Sheila Abdus-Salaam drowned in the river after intentionally throwing herself into the water this past April, the city’s Medical Examiner’s office said.

Her body was discovered not long after.

Police managed to piece together surveillance video which showed the judge wandering around Harlem for hours before she eventually makes her way to the river.

Investigators believed for months that Abdus-Salaam took her own life prior to Wednesday’s official announcement.
