The death of a 58-year-old man who was rushed to a Manhattan hospital after being punched has been ruled a homicide, police said Thursday.
Medics responding to a 911 call on Jan. 13 found Gary Christmas in front of his Washington Heights home with torso pain, cops said.
He was taken to New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center, where he told doctors he’d been punched in the back — and four days later succumbed to his injuries, officials said.
Police have ruled the death a murder after the medical examiner determined that Christmas died of a lacerated spleen.
Investigators are still searching for suspects in the fatal punching, cops said.
