The death of a woman found in a Staten Island park last month has been ruled a homicide, cops said Monday.
Salem Ola’s body was found covered in leaves near a running path on the edge of Bloomingdale Park near Drumgoole Road and Maguire Avenue in Prince’s Bay at about 9:30 a.m. Oct. 24, officials said.
There were no obvious signs of trauma at the time. But authorities have since determined that Ola, 25, was killed by asphyxiation, and her body was then dragged into the woods, police and sources said.
