A single-engine plane rests in a pool of fuel perilously close to several houses after crash-landing yesterday in East Farmingdale, LI.

Passenger Ed Cerverizzo, 75, of Garden City, was killed, but miraculously, no one on the ground was injured in the 9 a.m. accident.

Pilot Gus Halouvas, 55, of North Bellmore, who was practicing touch-and-go landings at Republic Airport when he apparently developed engine problems, was hurt, as were passengers William Mancusi, 83, of Brooklyn, and Charles Bianculli, 61, of Lindenhurst, LI.
