The bloodthirsty monster behind the heinous 2007 home-invasion murder of a Connecticut woman and her two daughters was sentenced to death yesterday.

Joshua Komisarjevsky, 31, and accomplice Steven Hayes, who is already on death row, killed Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her daughters, 17-year-old Hayley and 11-year-old Michaela, in their home in Cheshire, near New Haven.

At yesterday’s sentencing, Hawke-Petit’s husband, and the father of the children, Dr. William Petit, called the crime a “personal holocaust.”
