A woman’s decomposing body was discovered in a pile of trash — with a bag tied over the head — at an empty Bronx lot early Thursday, cops said. 

A crane operator made the grisly discovery around 7:30 a.m. on Exterior Street, near the Major Deegan Expressway in Mott Haven, while removing garbage from the lot, authorities said. 

The body was in an advanced stage of decomposition, and the circumstances of the woman’s death are under investigation. 

The lot was being cleared out in preparation for a building that will be constructed there, cops said.
