NORTH SALEM, N.Y. — Authorities say the decomposing body found in woods in Westchester County last week is that of a New Jersey man.
The Journal News reports that police and the Westchester County medical examiner’s office used fingerprint analysis to identify the victim as 65-year-old Epifanio Medina of Passaic, N.J.
The cause of death has not yet been determined. Police said previously that no foul play was suspected in the man’s death.
His body was discovered on June 12 by a horseback rider off Dingle Ridge Road in North Salem.
