A deer broke into a New York nursing home and wreaked havoc, according to a report.

The unwanted animal visitor came crashing through the window of the rehabilitation department of Wells Nursing Home in Johnstown earlier this week.

“I was in another office and I thought to myself, ‘I need to get my cellphone,’ because no one’s going to believe me that there was a six-point buck jumping around in there,” Bill Betts, the facility’s director of rehab, told the outlet.

The animal was visibly frightened and looking for a way out, but became confused by all the mirrors in the room. Approximately 10 minutes later, it managed to escape through another window.

Thankfully, no one was around during the short-lived chaos.

“You can laugh about it now,” Betts said. “But at the time, thank goodness there was no one in the department, no residents, no patients.”
