Two young men from Staten Island have been busted in connection with a month-old murder over a botched drug deal, police said.

Kevin Cocozello, 21, of Elm Park and Edward McHugh, 20, of Stapleton lured Christopher Caddell to an abandoned Bulls Head house, where they attempted to rob him and then attacked him with baseball bats, police said.

Caddell, 22, had been instructed to bring a bag of marijuana to the house on Gary Court at 2:10 a.m. on Sept. 16.

When he got there, he was set upon by his killers, who beat him savagely with the bats, according to court papers.

“We met him there, we took his weed and beat him,” McHugh told detectives, the papers said.

Cocozello faces murder and robbery charges. McHugh got hit with a robbery charge, said a DA spokesman.
