A deli employee was shot dead while at work in the Bronx on Tuesday, cops said.

The 20-year-old worker was shot in the torso just after 11:30 a.m. inside Deli & Grocery at 3700 White Plains Road in Williamsbridge, according to the NYPD. He was rushed to Montefiore Medical Center. but he could not be saved.

The man was reportedly shot in the back as he made a sandwich for a customer, ABC reported.

Cops say they have an 18-year-old man and 25-year-old woman in custody. Charges were pending.

No one at the deli picked up the phone when The Post called Tuesday afternoon.
