The push to bring the 2016 Democratic National Convention to Brooklyn got off on the wrong side of the river Saturday — the first meeting between borough boosters and party officials took place in Manhattan.

But the preliminary sitdown at a Midtown hotel went well, according to Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams.

“We talked about diversity. Brooklyn is really what the Democratic Party looks like.”
