A derailed work train is forcing the Long Island Rail Road to cancel some PM peak trains, the agency said.
The afternoon accident at Atlantic Terminal initially prompted the LIRR to suspend service between Atlantic and Jamaica Station.
Limited half-hour service was later restored, the LIRR said.
There were no passengers on the train that derailed and no injuries, it said.
