A partial derailment in Queens yesterday caused massive delays on Amtrak and the Long Island Rail Road.
The Amtrak train was headed toward the Hell Gate Bridge at a very slow speed on tracks it shares with the LIRR when the accident happened at around noon near the Sunnyside yards.
The LIRR had to cancel several evening rush-hour trains.
There were no injuries.
The 147 passengers on the Amtrak train were taken off and put on other trains.
