Two days, two schools, no comment.
Education Secretary Betsy DeVos wrapped up her visit to two private New York yeshivas Wednesday — and then left town without fielding questions about the trip.
After visiting the Manhattan HS for Girls on Tuesday, DeVos toured the all-boys Yeshiva Darchei Torah in Far Rockaway on Wednesday.
She mingled with cheerfully obedient students at the sprawling campus amid lessons in Jewish dietary traditions, literacy, chemistry and Torah recitation.
Critics have questioned wheter the two well-regarded schools DeVos visited were not truly representative of more religiously oriented Orthodox yeshivas that shun traditional academic instruction.
