A diaper was packing heat at a New York airport.

An Arkansas man was caught trying to pass through LaGuardia Airport security with a baby diaper full of bullets Wednesday morning, authorities said.

Officers were scanning the traveler’s carry-on bag through the X-ray checkpoint when it triggered an alarm, the Transportation Security Administration said.

The officers pulled the bag off the line and found a disposable diaper with a heavy load inside. They unwrapped it to find 17 9mm bullets hidden in the otherwise clean underpants, TSA said.

The traveler told the officers that he didn’t know how the ammo-filled diaper got into his carry-on before suggesting his girlfriend must have put it in his bag.

Port Authority police cited the man, whose identity was not released by TSA, with unlawful possession of ammunition.

It’s unclear if the man was traveling with a baby or any other people.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey did not return a message from The Post before publication.
