State Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., who helped orchestrate the Senate coup that resulted in a stalemate last year, has posted a birthday letter he received from Attorney General and soon-to-be-declared gubernatorial frontrunner Andrew Cuomo on his Facebook page.
“I wish you a very happy birthday – one filled with joy and happiness,” the letter says, offering to be of “assistance” in the future, along with other generic warm regards.
The letter was dated April 20.
The letter seems to be pro-forma, but it’s not clear why exactly it merited special status.
