Bronx Councilman Ruben Diaz Sr. is about to lose a coveted committee post over his controversial remarks about gays.

Sources said the city council’s rules committee is meeting Wednesday to dissolve the Committee on For-Hire Vehicles, which Diaz chairs.

It will be absorbed into the larger Transportation Committee headed by Ydanis Rodriguez (D-Manhattan), the sources said.

Diaz was quoted in an interview on a Spanish language radio program last week — picked up by NY1 — saying the council is “controlled by the homosexual community.”

When reached Tuesday by The Post, Diaz said he has “a lot to say” about attempts to oust him, but is holding off until Thursday, when he plans to meet with reporters at his district office.

Diaz became the committee chair as part of a Bronx Democratic Party deal to back Corey Johnson for speaker in 2017.
