A special benefit for the families of slain DEA agents is scheduled for Oct. 16 to coincide with Red Ribbon Week, which was established in honor of murdered Special Agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena.
The Drug Enforcement Administration worker was kidnapped, tortured and killed in Mexico in 1985.
The benefit, to be held at Del Posto restaurant in Midtown, will feature celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Lidia Bastianich and Joe Bastianich. Tickets cost $500. For more information, call (646) 805-6916.
The money goes to the Survivor’s Benefit Fund. The week is designed to educate youth on the dangers of drug-trafficking and drug abuse.
