Disgraced pol’s pen pals
Disgraced former Assemblyman Anthony Seminerio, in a desperate bid to stay out of the slammer, has persuaded more than 300 officials, pals and relatives to write to the judge who will sentence him for corruption.
Letters were sent by Assemblyman Dov Hikind; state Sen. John DeFrancisco; Assemblywoman Barbara Clark and Assemblywoman Audrey Pheffer. Also going to bat for the fallen Queens pol are former schools Chancellor Frank Macchiarola and former Queens DA John Santucci.
Seminerio faces up to 14 years for what prosecutors say was a $2 million influence-peddling scheme.
