DJ AM died of “acute intoxication” after a cocktail of drugs — including Xanax and Vicodin — were found in his body, officials said today.
The celebrity disc jockey — whose real name is Adam Goldstein — died due to the combined effects of cocaine, oxycodone, Vicodin, Ativan, Klonopin, Xanax, Benadryl and Levamisole, according to the city’s Medical Examiner’s office.
The ME’s office said that the manner of DJ AM’s death is listed as “accident [substance abuse]” by the city’s Medical Examiner’s officer, and not a suicide.
Goldstein was found dead in his SoHo apartment on Aug. 28.
