The state has pulled the license of a city house-call doctor convicted of child-porn charges.
Dr. Davis Bregman, an anesthesiologist and pain- management specialist with offices in Manhattan and Long Island, was arrested in 2014 and pleaded guilty in December 2015 to promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He is to be sentenced March 21.
The state Board for Professional Medical Conduct charged Bregman, 47, with misconduct.
“The committee believes that [Bregman] cannot be allowed to continue to practice medicine; to do so would provide him with access to patients, among them children, who would be totally defenseless,” the board ruled.
Lori Cohen, Bregman’s lawyer, declined to comment.
