A Brooklyn man whose heart stopped beating for 47 minutes was miraculously revived by doctors, it was reported today.

Joe Tiralosi felt sick and disoriented when he walked into an emergency room in August. He collapsed moments later from cardiac arrest, CBS 2 News reported.

That’s when a team of doctors at New York Presbyterian Hospital went to work. They gave Tiralosi 4,500 chest compressions and eight shocks from a defibrillator before he was stabilized.

Tiralosi, who barely remembers anything from that day, returned this week to thank the doctors who saved his life.

“These doctors did not stop …. Without them and I’m serious when I tell you I wouldn’t be here,” Tiralosi said.

“I think miracle best describes it,” Tiralosi said.
