Members of the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife tranquilized a bear they believe killed a dog in Wayne, N.J.

The bear became stuck under the backyard deck of a house on Fox Hill Road after it was tranquilized on Thursday . A member of the NJDFW pulled the bear out and placed it into a large red bag.

Fox 5 News reporter Mike Gilliam spoke with Wayne Police Department officials who say the bear will be euthanized.

The bear apparently killed a border collie belonging to a resident of Lyle Avenue late Wednesday.

Police and the NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife began searching for the bear after several sightings were reported.

A resident of Colonial Road told Gilliam her two, five-year-old labrador retrievers — Diesel and Roxy — are missing.
