A Long Island dognapper was busted in the theft of a pit-bull puppy Friday night.

Donovan Davis, 23, of North Amityville, was arrested and charged with petty larceny for snatching the pooch at about 9 p.m. on Overland Avenue, Suffolk County police said.

Officers scooped up Davis for questioning after responding to a 911 call and noticed peculiar movements inside his bag, cops said.

The puppy-pilferer confessed that he had fled with the canine earlier in the day following a meeting with the dog’s owner to discuss buying the chocolate-brown pit, authorities said.

Davis was arraigned Saturday in Central Islip and released without bail.

Cops returned the cuddlesome pup to its owner.
