Archbishop Timothy Dolan said yesterday it’s “ludicrous” to believe his former diocese in Milwaukee hid $130 million to avoid paying sex-abuse settlements.

Dolan responded to the charge, made by a lawyer involved in an abuse case, after Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

He was quoted by NBC News as saying, “To think there was $130 million in hidden funds, like Dolan’s got some off-shore account or something. This is just ludicrous.”

He added, “Any law-enforcement officers want to talk to me, be my guest. I have nothing to hide.”
