Fifty-nine retired city employees were caught yesterday in the annual sweep of double-dippers collecting both a government pension and a government salary.

Comptroller John Liu, whose office conducts the yearly review, said the former workers made off with $751,428 in pension checks they weren’t entitled to in 2008.

Generally, a retired city worker under 65 can’t earn more than $30,000 in another city or state job while collecting a pension.

Those nabbed in the latest sweep included:

* A cop who left in July 2006 on a $47,720 disability pension making $62,770 working in the state Senate fiscal office.

* A formerBronx assistant district attorney hauling in $66,946 from his city pension and $124,452 in a job at the state Supreme Court.

The FDNY came away with a perfect score, with not a single retired firefighter found double-dipping.
