A dying Long Island dog has been saved by a Viagra a day.

Ingrid the pit bull was close to death when she arrived at the Little Shelter animal rescue center in Huntington, WCBS-TV reported.

A vet recommended she take Viagra, and five years later she is happy, healthy, and living with loving new owners.

“What a lot of people do not know is that Viagra was originally developed as a heart medication,” said shelter spokeswoman Jodi Record.
