Prosecutors say more than 3 dozen members of two feuding gangs have been indicted following a reign of terror in Brownsville, Brooklyn.

The office of District Attorney Charles Hynes says the bloodshed resulted in the deaths of innocent bystanders.

The indictments follow a widespread investigation by several agencies. The charges include murder, assault, robbery and conspiracy.

The crimes date back to 2010 and continued as late as this month.

Arraignments are being held this week. Some defendants are still at large.

Relieved community leaders were among those scheduled to appear at a news conference Thursday.
