New Yorkers have discovered the remains of 47 dogs, including six pit bulls, in public parks over the past 18 months.

Four dead pit bulls were found in The Bronx — one on a tennis court in Van Cortlandt Park. In Seton Falls Park, a pit-bull carcass was “presumed to have been used as a fighting dog,” according to 311 complaints.

Two other pit bulls were left to rot off the Rockaway Beach boardwalk in Queens and on the Bobby Wagner Walk in Manhattan.

“This confirms our worst fears about the prevalence of dog fighting and is a reminder that people should report animal abuse right away when they suspect this kind of illegal activity,” said Lexi Georgiadis, a rep of New Yorkers for Clean, Livable, and Safe Streets.

Cops rescued 11 pit bulls from a Harlem den in June and saved 20 dogs in a ­Jamaica, Queens, bust in August 2014.
