Scores of St. Patrick’s Day revelers got behind the wheel while sloshed and paid the price, as the NYPD dished out over 50 DWI charges.
Police arrested 54 intoxicated drivers – the majority being impaired by alcohol – during a 12 hour period that began at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Most of the boozy busts took place on city streets and avenues, however 11 of the stops occurred on city highways — including the arrest of an off-duty city Department of Corrections officer, cops said.
Raul Endara, 35, was charged with a DWI at 3 a.m. Friday after police saw him driving the wrong way the Cross Island Parkway.
