Dozens of people rallied outside of Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s Midtown office Saturday, demanding that he pack up his things and resign over sexual harassment allegations.

 “I decided to call for his impeachment because we can no longer be under the grips of this governor who has shown time and time again that he cares little about the people and more about his power,” said Assemblywoman Jessica Gonzalez-Rojas, who was among the roughly 40 people who turned out on 3rd Avenue and East 41st Street.

“He needs to go. We must impeach him,” she added.

Tiffany Cabán, a Democratic candidate for City Council, called it “an embarrassment and a disgrace that we have to be here today to demand that the most powerful politician in the state is held accountable for his actions.”

“The allegations against the governor connect to a pattern throughout his entire tenure of abusing power,” she said.

Zakiyah Ansari, advocacy director at New York State Alliance for Quality Education, one of the many activists at the rally, said “Cuomo has been a bully for decades.”

“It’s time right now to step up. It’s time right now for leadership to say Cuomo must go,” Ansari said.

The Assembly’s Judiciary Committee launched an impeachment probe earlier this month.

Protesters, who chanted, “Cuomo must go!” and “No more status Cuomo!” also urged that Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie take immediate action.

“It is time for Speaker Heastie to use his authority to impeach Governor Cuomo and send a message that workers matter. Their dignity, their humanity matters. If it doesn’t happen in government, why is any other top executive going to hold themselves and each other accountable?” said Erica Vladimer, cofounder of New York State Sexual Harassment Working Group.

At least seven women have accused Cuomo of workplace harassment. The governor has denied any inappropriate touching, and apologized to anyone he made feel uncomfortable.
