Dramatic video shows the moment a speeding driver runs a red light and rams into another car in Brooklyn on Sunday, a serious collision on streets largely emptied of cars while people hunker down amid the coronavirus outbreak.

One man was seriously injured in the crash when a Hyundai Sonata, driving west on Avenue Z, sped through a red light and slammed into the Nissan Infiniti as it was traveling north on Ocean Parkway in Gravesend at around 9:51 p.m. on Sunday, cops said.

The crash sent the two cars flying into the sidewalk, with the Infiniti hitting a pole before coming to a stop, police said.

EMS rushed to the scene and managed to extricate the 30-year-old driver from the Sonata before rushing him to NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn with trauma to the body, according to cops.

The 31-year-old Infiniti driver refused medical attention at the scene.

The NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad will determine the cause of the crash.
