Disabled veterans would get a reprieve from New York traffic jams under a proposed law.

City Councilman Vincent Gentile (D-Brooklyn) is pushing a bill that would allow vets with “disabled” plates to drive solo in high-occupancy vehicle lanes.

“The men and women who dedicated themselves to protecting our city and country shouldn’t struggle trying to get from point A to point B,” Gentile said.
