A Queens man was arrested after he allegedly plowed his car through a Long Island home early Thursday — wrecking the kitchen, cops said.
Calogero Messina, 20, of Astoria, crashed his Volkswagen Golf into a home on Stratford Green in Farmingdale at 2:25 a.m, Nassau County Police said.
His car flew through Fulton Street, crashed through a fence and onto Stratford Green, WABC reported.
It came to a rest in Steve Laiosa’s living room, as he and his wife slept upstairs, the homeowner told the network.
Photos show the car on its side, embedded in the wall of the kitchen, which was reduced to a shambles.
“My wife started screaming like crazy,” Laiosa said. “At that point, we really didn’t know. It’s not the first time someone has crashed here, so we thought it was out on the property somewhere. I mean, who could imagine that car could have come this far?”
Laiosa told the station that despite the extensive damage, the driver climbed out through the windshield and managed a getaway.
