A Long Island man pleaded guilty to two counts of felony manslaughter Thursday for
with his car last year.
Christopher Bouchard, 28, of Mastic Beach faces up to 10-and-a-half years in prison for the deaths of Keenen King, 19, and Anthony Holmes-Garriques, 20, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.
Bouchard’s brother’s dirt bike was reported stolen on June 22, 2017. Later that day, the ride was spotted in Bellport, so he and his brother hopped into their 2002 Honda Odyssey and went looking for it.
They found King and Holmes-Garriques riding the motorcycle on Montauk Highway near Doane Avenue, and Bouchard chased the men through North Bellport before slamming the van into the bike, sending the riders flying, officials said.
King was pronounced dead at the scene, and Holmes-Garriques died at Stony Brook University Hospital.
Bouchard was arrested later that day. He is set to be sentenced Suffolk County Supreme Court on Oct. 9.
