A driver was attacked by a stranger while stopped at a red light in Washington Heights, cops said.

The 37-year-old woman told police she was sitting at West 166th Street near Saint Nicholas Avenue around 9:45 p.m. April 18 when a stranger walked up to her car, smashed the driver’s window with a stick — and then smacked her in the face with it.

Video released by police shows the attacker rushing off. He was wearing a camouflage jacket with an orange hood.

The woman was taken to Mount Sinai St. Luke’s hospital for cuts on her head, cops said.
