A Brooklyn driver who turned a stretch of Crown Heights into a demolition derby last month has been indicted on manslaughter charges in the grisly crash that left his girlfriend dead.
Brandon Craigwell, 20, allegedly sped 60 mph the wrong way down St. John’s Place in his Honda Civic on June 2, blew through a red light, and then smashed into several parked cars while swerving to avoid hitting an oncoming vehicle.
His girlfriend, Shana-Kayes Khans, 20, was in the passenger seat and was ejected from the car.
She died at a hospital a short time later.
Craigwell is also facing criminally negligent homicide, first-degree reckless endangerment, reckless driving and related charges.
He was arrested July 23 and is being held on bail.
The entire wreck was captured on surveillance video, the Brooklyn DA’s Office said.
