A hit-and-run driver left a 71-year-old man in critical condition after he plowed into him in Queens on Thursday night, officials said.

The elderly man was crossing Murray Street at 17th Avenue in Flushing when he was struck by a white SUV at about 6:50 p.m., police said.

The SUV fled the scene, according to police.

The man suffered severe head trauma and was taken to Flushing Hospital.

Cops were searching for the driver Thursday night.
